Yellow Cowrie Shells, traditionally known as Peeli Kaudi or Peeli Kauri, are natural cowrie shells valued in Indian traditional पूजा, festive rituals, Vastu practices and spiritual arrangements. This pack contains 11 cowrie shells suitable for Lakshmi Puja, Diwali, Dhanteras, Akshaya Tritiya and other auspicious occasions.
Traditionally, cowrie shells have been associated with prosperity and wealth because they were historically used as a form of currency in different parts of the world. In Indian spiritual traditions, Peeli Kaudi is commonly included in traditional prosperity-related rituals and puja arrangements.
The shells have a naturally smooth and glossy appearance and may display yellow, cream, pale olive or greenish tones. Since these are natural shells, individual pieces may vary slightly in colour, size, shape, texture and surface markings.
The set can be placed in a home temple, puja thali, traditional ritual arrangement, decorative bowl, locker or other suitable location according to one's customary practice. They can also be used for traditional craft and decorative purposes.
